Police Arrest Man Accused Of Carjacking Outside Tulsa Motel

Tulsa police have taken a man into custody for a carjacking outside of a motel near Highway 169 and 61st Street. The victim tells police the suspect had a revolver during the carjacking.

Investigators say they were called to a Best Western Plus around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Police say the victim last saw his car being driven out of the parking lot.

Tulsa police say about two hours later, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers received a call about a car on the eastbound lanes of I-244 near Yale. Troopers found the man outside of the car when they got to the scene.

Police say the suspect was taken into custody, and the victim was able to positively identify the man as the person who stole his car. Investigators say they found a revolver inside of the car.

The victim was reunited with his car. Police say the suspect is going to be interviewed by detectives.
