Police Identify Victim Killed In Stabbing At Tulsa Apartment Complex

Police have identified the victim of a deadly stabbing at an apartment complex in Tulsa on Tuesday.

According to police, 68-year-old David Burnside was found with multiple stab wounds in a unit at the Seminole Hills apartments near East Virgin Street and North Peoria Avenue.

Police say Burnside's roommate, 42-year-old Eli Brown, has been taken into custody for 1st Degree Murder and Destroying Evidence.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the stabbing.

Tulsa Police are on the scene of a deadly stabbing at the Seminole Hills Apartments near Virgin and Peoria.

TPD said a woman came home to her apartment at Seminole Hills Tuesday afternoon to discover a man stabbed to death inside.

TPD said she called 911 and is cooperating with police.

Police said the victim, a 68-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times.

Captain Richard Meulenberg said the victim was known to stay at this apartment from time to time, but did not live there.

Meulenberg said the victim was dead for several hours before being found by the woman who lives in the apartment.

"12 hours at the most. Because we have some information to believe that this 68-year-old male was walking around early into the evening hours, say 1:00 in the morning, yesterday," Capt. Muelenberg said.

A suspect is not in custody, TPD said.
