A family is desperate for justice after their loved one was murdered in December of 2020.

A man has been charged in the case but is on the run and now the victim's family is asking anyone who knows where he is, to come forward.

The family of 18-year-old Demarcos Rodriquez says he loved everyone, and he was the type of person one wouldn't forget.

Angela Rodriguez, DeMarcos's mother, said her son was the best person to know.

"He was just an all-around beautiful, beautiful person," Angela said.

The family of Demarcos said they were devastated when he was shot and killed on December 20th, 2020.

An affidavit says a witness told police Jonathan Ramirez is the person who pulled the trigger.

Police say Ramirez shot two people that night and the other victim survived.

Ramirez was charged with murder but hasn't been seen since.

Sonya Rodriguez, Demarcos's sister, said the family wants justice.

"We're just hoping whoever did this will pay for what they did," Sony said.

Sonya tells me her brother enjoyed cars and loved music. Angela Rodriguez says even though two years have almost passed, the pain of losing a child still feels unreal.

"I'll never find the words to explain what that feeling is," Angela said.

Court records show Ramirez had been charged with nine counts of drive-by shooting just three months earlier and was out on bond when the murder happened. Demarcos' family is asking anyone with information about Rameriz to come forward.

"He's so missed so much. It's just an empty hole in our whole entire family," Angela said.

The affidavit says Rameriz was a student at Union High School at the time.

Police say the suspect has been in trouble with the law in the past.

If you have any information about where he is, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
