Pursuit Suspect Crashes On IDL In Tulsa

Tulsa Police said a chase suspect pursued by officers on Saturday crashed near Downtown Tulsa on the IDL.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-244 at about 3 p.m. near the Detroit exit.

TPD said the 31-year-old male driver took his girlfriend's car and it was spotted at the KFC near 4700 N. Peoria.

Police say the suspect drove off once officers arrived and they shortly chased him before high speeds called off the pursuit.

Officers spotted the car a short time later where the pursuit started again before crashing out on I-244.

Police say the male suspect was taken to a hospital. No word on other injuries from the crash at this time.
