1 In Critical Condition After Stabbing In NW OKC; Suspect Arrested

Oklahoma City Police have a suspect in custody after a stabbing that happened Tuesday night in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon near Northwest 23rd Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police said when they arrived on scene, they found a man, Duan Noris-Gomez, laying on his back in the parking lot.

"Our victim... looked or appeared to have been cut or lacerated several times on the torso and in the head and face area," OCPD Capt. Rod Strecker said.

A man, who was standing outside the apartment, pointed officers to where the suspect, Gaspar Santiago, was located.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition Tuesday night.

Santiago was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.

Through an investigation, it was discovered that the suspect and victim were neighbors at the time of the altercation, police said.
