Tulsa Man Arrested, Accused Of Throwing Woman From 4th-Story Balcony

A Tulsa man was arrested over the weekend after he threw a woman over a 4th-floor balcony, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

TPD and Tulsa Fire say they were called to the Hewgley Terrace Apartments just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday and found a woman lying in the courtyard with severe injuries. Investigators say Richard Wallace can be seen on video carrying a woman wrapped in a blanket into a common area on the 4th floor. They say Wallace threw the woman over the balcony and then ran back inside the apartment.

Police say Wallace eventually opened the door and complied with officers after a short standoff. Wallace was booked on one complaint of aggravated assault and battery.

The woman was taken to the hospital with multiple broken bones and other severe injuries.
