Turkey Mountain will be closed to the public on Wednesday while crews conduct prescribed burns.
The Oklahoma Forestry Services will burn roughly 10 to 20 acres between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The OFS says there will be signs to remind people not to call 911 because it's a controlled burn.
Officials says anyone with lung-related medical issues should avoid the area while smoke is in the air.
The OFS says controlled burns promote restoration, help control invasive plant materal and reduces the potential of a wildfire.
