1 Hospitalized After Early-Morning Fire Destroys Home In Turley

One person is in the hospital after an early-morning fire destroyed a family's home in Turley, according to firefighters.

Firefighters say the blaze broke out around 2 a.m. on Tuesday at a home near East 66th Street North and North Peoria Avenue.

Firefighters say they believe a wood stove was likely the cause of the blaze.

According to firefighters, two pets also died in the blaze.

Officials say the state fire marshal is now investigating.
