A couple in Mounds said the latest addition to their family is a miracle. The mother found out she was pregnant just three weeks before their baby was born.

The Taylor family has wanted to become a family of four, for 20 years. Patty Taylor’s pregnancy journey involves negative tests, a trip overseas, and coffee.

On Tuesday, Leighafae and her family were at a familiar place: Dry Creek Coffee in Mounds.

"We've been coming here ever since they pretty much opened, as our coffee shop. So little Leigha has been basically fed Dry Creek Coffee,” Brad Taylor said. “Since the day she was conceived,” Patty added.

Patty and her husband Brad had their first child, Johnny, 20 years ago. Now, he is a big brother.

"I was honestly really excited. I've always wanted a sibling. I just never expected it like this,” Johnny said.

Patty has Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS, which can cause an irregular cycle and infertility.

She said the last few months of her pregnancy, she had no cycle at all, which can be normal for her.

"I figured something was a little wonky so I took three pregnancy tests during that timeframe, and they all came back negative,” she said.

She and Brad went on their planned trip to Prague, while having no idea, she was 35 weeks pregnant.

"We ended up walking like eight to nine miles a day and we were there for a full week walking around Prague. It was interesting,” Brad said. “It was cold and fun and amazing,” Patty said.

But once they got back, they learned she was pregnant.

“I started showing. And we were both looking at me like, 'OK, I'm getting kind of fat,’” she said.

Patty went to the doctor and learned she would be having a baby in three weeks.

Dry Creek Coffee Shop threw the couple a baby shower. After an emergency c-section, both mom and baby are doing well.

"I'm just grateful that St. John's took really good care of us,” Patty said.

Leighafae will be four months old on May 3, surrounded by family that have been waiting two decades for her arrival.
