Tulsa celebrated 21 new United States citizens after a Naturalization Ceremony at City Hall on Thursday.

Seven countries were represented in the ceremony, including the Philippines, Mexico, Vietnam, and India. Those in attendance encourage others to keep going even when it's hard.

"It's just very freeing. I just feel very excited. I feel like I'm finally part of this country even though I have been living here for such a long time. But I just feel that I have a voice now that I can be a part of and help other people do it," said Ezy Siqueiros.

May 11 marks 1,000 oath-takers since Tulsa began holding naturalization ceremonies in 2019.
