An investigation is underway after an overnight shooting sent a man to the hospital, according to Tulsa Police.
Police say officers first got a call about the shooting near East 51st Street and South Mingo Road at around 9 p.m. on Monday. According to police, officers arrived on scene within four minutes and found a 60-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound.
Police say EMSA took the man to the hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.
Officers say they believe the man was shot outside of a house in the neighborhood and believe the shooting may have been a result of an argument that escalated.
The suspected shooter stayed at the scene after the shooting and was cooperating with investigators, police said. Officers say they interviewed him at the detective division and detectives later released him.
Officers say they also recovered the weapon used in the shooting.
Police have not yet identified anyone involved in the shooting and say no arrests have been made.
