Oklahoma Cancer Specialists Dedicate New Bell For Cancer Survivors

The Oklahoma Cancer Specialists wants to help cancer patients celebrate with even more friends and family when they're cancer free.

Six in the Morning's LeAnne Taylor was on hand for the inauguration of a new outside bell at the 51st and 129th East Avenue location for Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute on Monday.

The ringing of the bell signifies a cancer survivor's successful end of treatment.

The outside bell will allow for larger groups to celebrate with survivors.

"It meant, not only just ringing in or saying I'm done, said Tara Hallum, CFO for Oklahoma Cancer Specialists. "But it also meant that I'm ringing in for the future. It looks bright, and we're going to be here, and I'm going to celebrate with all these people that have been around me this whole time."

This Friday marks 20 years for her as a breast cancer survivor.
