A 911 Dispatcher who had a stroke at work, and then another one just days later, says this has been the hardest time he's gone through.
He says he's doing his best to get stronger but is worried about how he's going to provide for his family.
Paydro Davila has spent the past 10 years as a 911 dispatcher in Tulsa, helping others during their hardest moments.
"Knowing that when people had a hard time, you could be there to help, and I felt good about that, I still feel good about that," he said.
Paydro had a stroke while at work in October.
Then on the day he was supposed to return to work a week later, he had another one.
"Trying to step up on a step in my house, I was having a hard time, I felt like I was not balanced, and then when I went to brush my teeth, my hand wasn't working and I looked in the mirror, and was like oh crap, my face, like it fell," he said.
He's in speech, occupational and physical therapy, working on getting better.
"Makes it hard because you are trapped in your own body. Like my brain works fast, but my body is slow to react," he said.
He says this has been the hardest time, especially financially.
But a lot of people have been there for him, like when Hasty Bake learned what happened and donated a smoker to him since it's his hobby and helps his recovery with movement and the dexterity of his hands.
"For them to have reached out, they delivered and everything, I was so happy. I was over the moon, I probably would have jumped and kicked if I could have," he said.
He says as he focuses on getting stronger, he's thankful for everyone who has been there for him during his hardest moments.
"It means a lot, means a whole heck of a lot because I'm able to give my family a little security," he said.
