The man accused of leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase before crashing out on I-44 Monday has been identified.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said Joshua Apon, 25, was arrested and accused of felony eluding, causing a DUI injury crash, assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of an injury crash.
TCSO said a deputy witnessed Apon's truck speed by him on the IDL in Tulsa and he refused to stop.
The deputy said Apon continued to drive recklessly before crashing near 129th East Avenue on the highway.
There were three other vehicles hit by debris from the crash and a motorist was taken to the hospital, TCSO said.
A portion of I-44 was closed Monday evening as authorities investigated the scene.
Deputies said Apon appeared to be intoxicated and they arrested.
