Grand Mental Health Opens New Facility In Tulsa, Helps People In Crisis

Grand Mental Health is opening a new facility in Tulsa. It's joining its other facilities around Oklahoma for people in crisis.

The goal of Grand Mental Health is to allow people to come in and start their recovery services whenever they're ready.

Grand Mental Health says, “You can‘t predict when people are ready for help.” This is why its new facility is open 24/7.

It provides services for adults, children, and families struggling with behavioral health issues, substance use issues, and integrated medical needs.

Thomas Comstock said the Urgent Recovery Center has a crisis center to assist with outpatient and inpatient services, a sobering center, and detox/addiction recovery services.

"Eliminate the days of when you need to call the facility and have to wait two or three weeks before you can get admitted to facility. We’re ready. We’re open. We’re ready right now. We provide access to people walking in off the street. We also provide access to law enforcement. When law enforcement is in contact with somebody needing mental health issues or needing assistance with substance disorders. They can bring them here.”

The new Tulsa Urgent Recovery Center opened on Friday morning, Dec. 29.
