One of the oldest little people lives in Green Country.
Foy Jones is small at three foot ten, but that hasn’t stopped her from living a big life.
Surrounded by family, Jones reminisced while celebrating a milestone, turning 95.
“I love it,” Gail Caywood, Jones’ niece, said. “I am glad she’s here for her 95th birthday.”
Caywood adores her Aunt Foy, and she’s learned so much from her favorite relative.
“She is strong,” Caywood said. “She is a very strong lady, and she has not let her size get in the way at all.”
Jones is a little person.
“I am three foot ten,” Jones said.
She faces challenges with her height difference, but that rarely stops her.
Whether it was making her own clothes or having her husband create custom furniture, she always found a way.
But she did rely heavily on things that could give her a boost.
“Stools, lots of stools,” Jones said.
“It was like a doll house,” Caywood said. “It was a two-level house, and even the toilet downstairs was teeny, and her kitchen was just built little bitty. It looked like just a doll house, and my sister and I just loved going there.”
The two love to talk about their times together and Caywood will cherish those lessons and memories.
