A family is grieving after an 18-year-old man on a motorcycle died in a crash Thursday.

Family members say Jonathan Vasquez was kind and outgoing.

Police are investigating exactly what happened.

The witnesses said it all happened so fast and now their thoughts are with Vasquez’s family.

Vasquez was on a motorcycle when officers say he and an SUV crashed when the driver of the SUV pulled out of a driveway onto Admiral.

One witness said she was sitting at the Red River Saloon across the street when the crash happened.

"The door was open, we heard a real loud revving, whine of like a bike,” said Suzzette Johnston. “Then we heard the explosion. It was like an explosion. We all ran outside."

After the crash, the handlebars of the motorcycle landed on Brian Mumphrey’s car.

He didn’t see the crash but ran outside when he heard it and said it’s heartbreaking.

"It's crazy,” said Brian Mumphrey. “It happened that fast. I wasn't in the store for two minutes and that's sad. I'm sorry for the man. I'm just praying for his family."

Police said it’s still too early to tell who’s at fault and there’s still a lot of investigating to do.

"Obviously, the SUV was pulling out of a driveway, and has a responsibility to yield right of way to vehicles approaching on the roadway,” said Lt. Steven Florea with Tulsa Police. “The question is whether or not there are speeds involved with the motorcycle. It's going to take us a little while to determine that."

Mumphrey said he hopes people will be careful when they’re driving around there.

"That corner is kind of dangerous,” said Mumphrey. “They need to do something about that turn because the way they come out, it's easy for them not to see them coming down the street."

Officers say the driver of the SUV is cooperating with investigators.

Vazquez’s family was at the scene and did not want to go on camera but they said he was a good kid.
