A Krebs man who originally received life in prison without parole for murdering his daughter has a new sentence of 15 years.

Devin Sizemore's conviction was vacated after a U.S. Supreme Court decision on tribal jurisdiction. He was re-tried in federal court.

Court records say Sizemore told investigators he wanted to baptize his daughter because of all the evil in the world and something went wrong.

When they tried to arrest him, they said he went into a pond and that's where they found his 21-month-old daughter Emily floating facedown.

A federal jury found him guilty last April of manslaughter and child abuse.
