Cherokee Nation Launches Film Certification Program For Aspiring Filmmakers

The Cherokee Nation is launching a film certification program at its film studios in January to support Native Americans in entertainment.

The Cherokee Nation is starting a film certification program to help Native Americans in the entertainment industry.

The Cherokee Film Institute will focus on project development, hands-on training, and student mentorship opportunities.

Anyone 18 and older can apply for courses. Tribal members can also apply for tuition waivers.

Courses start in January at the tribe's film studios in Owasso.
