Spartan College is reopening its Tulsa campus with improvements that the college said will enhance its aviation programs.
This grand re-opening on Oct. 16 comes as the school celebrates over 90 years of education.
The remodel will take all students from the north campus to the newly-renovated and remodeled hangars and learning environments near Pine and Memorial.
The college says the move will bring all its students to one location so they can collaborate and have a stronger sense of community as they pursue these careers.
More than 100,000 pilots and technicians have already been trained throughout Spartan campuses across the world.
The Tulsa Regional Chamber told us why these improvements are so important for both Tulsa and the state.
"Aerospace is the second leading industry in not only in Tulsa but in the state of Oklahoma, and workforce is such a critical issue of being able to meet the needs of the companies for quality jobs,” said Brien Thorstenberg with the Tulsa Regional Chamber. "The additions and improvements that they're making here will really enhance their capabilities to train students and to teach them about aerospace."
Students are already at the renovated campus and the college is enrolling.
