Head-On Crash Sends One To Tulsa Hospital

Police say a crash between an SUV and a pickup on a Tulsa street early Monday sends one person to the hospital.

Officers say the head-on crash happened at about 12:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of South 129th East Avenue.

Police say the driver of a southbound Nissan Rogue was making a left turn into an apartment complex when the SUV collided with a northbound Toyota Tacoma pickup, causing it to roll onto its side.

Officers say if the SUV's driver had made a sharper turn, things would have been worse because of the crash angle.

The pickup's driver and a passenger were treated at the scene, but driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital. Police say the SUV will be cited for failure to yield.
