Some of the top cyclists from 25 states and around the world are in town this weekend for the 13th annual Tulsa Tough.

The event kicked off Friday night in downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome District.

And while cyclists have come from all over the world for the event, it’s not just for professionals.

Tulsans Leigh Ann Fields took up cycling just three years ago with the St. Francis Tulsa Tough Divas. Now she's a women's Cat 3 rider in the races this weekend.

Fields said she rides in races all year, all over the state, but always has eyes on Tulsa Tough.

"Everybody in Tulsa wants to peak for Tulsa Tough, and, really, everyone, everywhere wants to peak for Tulsa Tough. Everybody's going to be on their base form. I'm always so proud to be from Tulsa when I'm at those races because I can talk about the crowds and the hype and how much fun it is," Fields said.

The women's pro race starts at 7:55 Friday night, followed by the men's pro at 8:50 p.m.

Saturday the racing shifts to the Tulsa Arts District before moving to the infamous Cry Baby Hill on Sunday.

Some 3,000 riders signed up for the event.
