The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman whose body was found Tuesday in a rural area near Longtown. She is 29-year-old Davina Smith of Kinta.
Smith leaves behind a young son.
"The Haskell County Sheriff went by the house to do the death notification, and the 11-year-old boy came to the door and he said, 'I haven't seen my mom in two weeks. Have you seen her? Have you found her?'" said Pittsburg County Sheriff Chris Morris.
"So that's kind of heart wrenching."
The medical examiner said Smith may have been dead for up to four days before a crew using seismic equipment on the property found her body lying under a tree. Her body has been sent for an autopsy.

"Right now, we don't know if it's murder, foul play, or if she died of natural causes or a possible overdose," the sheriff said. "So at this point, we really don't know.
"The surprising part is just how far back in there she was, and you know to just wander off in there - that's kind of shocking."
Steve Ward lives in the area and owns a construction business just down the road.
"Well, I really wasn't that surprised because there's quite a bit of drug activity along in this area," Ward said.
Ward has done projects on this land in the past and said it's not easy to get around. He would be surprised if Smith had gone so far by herself.
"It's rough and rocky," he said, "It's not something you just want to go tramping across, you know, it's rough."
