OU-Tulsa brushed up on its "Black Panther" history Wednesday. The university hosted a comic history event for the Marvel film.

Schusterman library director and comic-lover, Stewart Brower, answered questions.

"Originally, the Black Panther was created by white men in a publishing office in New York City, but that, over time, some African American authors and artists came on board the book and really began to transform it over time into something that was really a celebration of a lot of things," Brower said.

On its 12th day of its release, "Black Panther" has become the 20th-highest money-maker of all time.
