The man who created the plan for Tulsa’s ambulance service faces a critical vote about his job next week.
The board of EMSA has a meeting planned Tuesday to discuss the future of Steve Williamson.
The options listed on the agenda include continuing his work, firing and accepting a resignation.

Williamson helped design the city trust model of ambulance service that now serves both Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
EMSA has earned national recognition for patient survival of heart attacks, in part because of Williamson’s work.
He’s also under continued scrutiny by federal prosecutors who named him as a beneficiary of kickbacks from a company that once provided paramedics for EMSA.
The case has not gone to court, and Williamson denies any wrongdoing.
