Have you enjoyed this recent stretch of gorgeous weather? Well Green Country, you’re in luck: There’s plenty more where that came from this weekend!

Tranquil weather will continue for our Saturday and throughout the weekend with an area of high pressure settled over the area. Dewpoint values will remain fairly low, keeping our humidity levels quite comfortable across eastern Oklahoma!

Expect plenty more sunshine for our Saturday with some passing high clouds later in the day. We’ll see those highs climbing back into the mid 80s this afternoon with southeast winds remaining light. It’ll be perfect weather for some Tulsa Hurricane football and the Claremore Bluegrass & Chili Festival!

The weather story on Sunday is almost a carbon-copy of Saturday’s forecast. We’ll start the day comfortably cool once again with lows in the upper 50s, with highs climbing back into the mid 80s and pleasant humidity levels under mostly sunny skies. It’d certainly be a waste if you didn’t get outside to enjoy this wonderful weekend weather!

Far away from Oklahoma, the very dangerous major hurricane Irma will continue to lash the state of Florida through the late weekend and into Monday as it moves across the state. Eventually, what’s left of Irma will shift up into the Tennessee Valley area of the country by mid-week bringing us some high clouds, but other than that it doesn’t appear Irma will have a major impact on our local weather.

The trend of cool mornings and pleasant afternoons will continue through mid-week, but I suggest you enjoy it! There is another surge of summer heat lurking as highs look to climb back into the 90s by the end of next week. Enjoy the fall weather while we’ve got it!
