Crews in Claremore are getting ready to fix a water line around midnight tonight.
According to a Facebook post made by the City of Claremore, the line, which feeds off the Sioux water tower in the Blue Starr and Florence area, broke Wednesday and was given a temporary fix by city crews.
Crews faced 7-foot deep water and were forced to do a live line fix, getting help from the Claremore Fire Department and Baker Hughes.
They eventually were able to put a new valve on the line.
Crews plan to go in on Friday evening at midnight, turn the new valve off, then cut and replace the broken pipe which has a 6 foot crack in it.
After this is finished, residents should have water, although some may experience discoloration.
The City of Claremore is asking those without water to call the water department at 918-341-2317 during business hours, and the non-emergency dispatch after hours.
