Two teenagers are in jail after police said they stole a car with a dog inside. The victims said they're glad to have their car and their dog back.
Joshua Lynn said he was doing a load of laundry at the Laundry Station when he looked outside and realized someone was taking off with his Chrysler 300.
Lynn and his girlfriend Sierra Baker's dog, Prissy, was still in the car when it was stolen.
Joshua said he left the car running because he didn’t want the dog sitting in a hot car.
"I don't like leaving her in the car without it running. I'm not gonna have somebody break in my windows because they see a dog in there with no A/C or anything like that," he said.
Officers said they saw the car at the QuikTrip at 21st and Memorial. The suspects led officers on a chase that ended near Pine and Sheridan.
Police said the suspects ran from the car and into a house. Police surrounded the home and the two teenagers gave up.
"We are definitely grateful to the Tulsa Police Department. We definitely got lucky tonight and we appreciate it a lot," Baker said.
The couple said Prissy was scared, but they're just glad she's okay.
"We've got full coverage on the car. That's replaceable. The dog's not," they said.
Police said three other people came out of the house but were not arrested.
