A Tulsa firefighter suffered minor burns at one of six suspicious west Tulsa fires late Wednesday. Arson investigators and Tulsa Police are now trying to determine a possible connection between those fires.
Investigators say all six happened near Charles Page Boulevard and 61st West Avenue.
Shortly after 9 p.m., the Tulsa Fire Department was called to a house fire near 61st West Avenue and Charles Page Boulevard. At about the same time, firefighters had to put out a fire which had damaged the front of a nearby church.
Then, within an hour and a half, two more homes and a car were spotted on fire along West 10th Street.
And finally, the back side of a house near the Sand Springs Expressway and 65th West Avenue was damaged by a fire.
Arson investigators and Tulsa Police are looking for a common thread between all six fires.
"Find out where did they start. Did they start in the same area, how they did start, those types of things, so they can maybe connect those dots. That would be up to them to decide," said Tulsa Assistant Fire Chief Stacy Belk.
No word from firefighters on if any of the homes were occupied at the time of the fires.
