Driver Plows Through Tulsa Yard, Ditches Car

A driver plowed into someone's backyard early Tuesday morning in the 2500 block of East Latimer - just behind the University of Tulsa. The took out a mailbox, water meter and fence before coming to rest against a tree.

Police said it appears the car was southbound on Atlanta and veered left for an unknown reason. 

The driver jumped out of the car and took off.

Water from the damaged meter is leaking into the street. Police say it looks like the water meter had been removed, but someone hooked up a piece of PVC between the pipes in-ground and reconnected the water on their own.
