The Kansas Department of Health & Environment lifted the boil water advisory for the city of Coffeyville after all water samples came back clean, officials said Sunday.
"Residents and businesses in the City of Coffeyville and South Coffeyville may resume normal use of water," said Coffeyville City Clerk Public Information Officer Cindy Price in an email. "The boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure after the City’s water supply distribution system lost pressure."

Price said the loss of pressure occurred after KDHE ordered the city to shut the water treatment plant down as a result of the chemical plant explosion in Neodesha last week.
Following a boil water advisory, it is recommended to flush household and building water lines including faucets, showers, water/ice dispensers and water treatment units, officials said.
