Public Service Company of Oklahoma says power has been restored after a large outage covering midtown Tulsa early Tuesday.
Thousands of customers include St. John Medical Center lost power for several hours.
PSO says an arrester failed at a midtown substation caused two transformers to blow. That knocked out power to almost 3,800 customers in an area from 4th to 27th Streets and Utica to Harvard.
The utility said they were able to reroute electricity around the two blown transformers to restore service.
