Muskogee's center for performing arts is ready for a busy weekend with the opening of its new Little Theatre.

The Little Theatre grew a little bigger with this $8 million facility is Muskogee's Depot District.

The community theatre program raised $1 million to kick off a fundraiser to get the new building, stage and audio/visual equipment.

Donors and the city's foundation helped with matching grants.

Executive director Conie Wetz said, "It honestly blows my mind. You know, we're so, so, grateful to the City of Muskogee, the City of Muskogee Foundation, who recognized the value of the arts for downtown revitalization, and that's why they granted us money. They gave us land and have been our biggest cheerleaders,"

"Mary Poppins" opens Friday night. The first four shows are sold out and there are only a few seats left for the last two.

Tickets are available online.
