A judge sentenced a North Carolina man and Florida woman Friday to 210 months and 120 months in prison, respectively, for their roles in a Tulsa sex trafficking case.

Ryan Wise and Jasmine Lynch pleaded guilty to federal charges related to the trafficking of a 14-year-old girl in June.

According to court documents, Lynch and Wise admitted that in November 2015 they recruited the 14-year-old girl from Tulsa to engage in prostitution with men.

Lynch and Wise rented hotel and motel rooms in Tulsa to provide the underage girl for prostitution purposes, the documents say.

U.S. Attorney Danny Williams says this case was part of a nationwide initiative called Project Safe Childhood, to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
