Several Tulsa police officers were in the right place at the right time to help deliver a baby late Wednesday.

Police said at about 10:45 p.m., an officer stopped a driver for erratic driving near 11th and Memorial.  They said the driver said a friend was in labor at a nearby home.

The officer followed the driver to a home in the 1200 block of South 89th East Avenue and with the help of several other officers and a police dispatcher prepared for delivery.

Tulsa firefighters arrived to help with the birth of a seven-pound, seven-ounce boy just before 11 p.m.

EMSA then took the baby and mom to a Tulsa hospital, where police say both are doing fine.
