A Nice Pattern Unfolding

Pleasant weather is expected today as a cold front continues to push across far Southeastern Oklahoma this morning. Cloud cover will gradually clear and sunshine will become abundant with daytime highs in the mid-seventies this afternoon.  Welcome to fall!

We still have clouds across most of eastern OK this morning along with some spotty showers and sprinkles. This activity should continue sliding southeast and away from the area early this morning. The clouds will continue to erode as the day progresses leaving us with mostly sunny sky. 

Temperatures for the next several days will be very mild.  Our readings this morning, currently in the mid-50s and a few upper 60s south, will climb into the mid-70s along with sunshine and North breezes at 10 to 15 mph.  Temperatures tomorrow morning will be cooler with the Tulsa Metro in the upper forties and outlying areas the mid-forties. Daytime highs tomorrow afternoon will be near 79 to 82 with sunshine and southwest winds around 10 mph or low. 

About the time we have a chance to warm up on Wednesday, another front will enter the area and knock the temperatures back down for the rest of the week. Wednesday morning will start at the mid-fifties and finish in the lower eighties, but the front arriving sometime Wednesday morning to afternoon will bring Thursday morning lows back into the upper 40s or lower 50s and daytime highs into the mid-seventies with Sunshine.   No precipitation is expected with the Wednesday front.

Thursday and Friday through the weekend will continue to present temperatures starting in the upper 40s near 50 for morning lows.   Daytime highs Thursday and Friday should stay in the mid-70s. Highs this weekend will be in the lower 80s.  

This weekend a storm system may brush far northern OK and bring a few spotty showers to the area.   But the chance remains very low and I’ll keep this low pop out of the forecast at this point.
