It's Labor Day and rafters were up early for this year's Tulsa Great Raft Race down the Arkansas River.

Two-hundred rafts began launching in waves at 8 a.m. at Sand Springs River City Park at 2500 South River City Park Road.

The rafts will then float down the river to Tulsa's River West Festival Park at 2100 South Jackson.  Race officials expect thousands to line the banks of the Arkansas River.

Tulsa Great Raft Race organizers expect the rafts to take anywhere between two to five hours to make the eight mile trip down stream.

At the finish line in Tulsa, rafters and spectators can attend the Bud Light Boatyard Bash at River West Festival Park.  The bash runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
