Tulsa police are on scene in the 2700 block of East Oklahoma Street after a shooting was reported on Sunday evening before 9 p.m.

Our News On 6 crew saw someone being administered chest compressions and then being transported by ambulance.

TPD said it began as an altercation inside a house. A man called 911 saying another man had two knives trying to get inside the home, TPD said.

When police arrived, they say the armed man tried to throw a knife at one of the officers. Right after, police said they deployed a Taser, but the prongs didn't connect so it was ineffective. That's when one of the officers shot the man.

It's not clear how many shots were fired or where the suspect was hit.

Police are working to identify the suspect. And they are holding off on naming the officers involved.

We will have more on this story on Six In The Morning.
