A stabbing victim and his friend held down an alleged attacker until Tulsa police arrived early Thursday. Tulsa Police took Paul Douglass to jail on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.
Police told News On 6 Douglass stabbed another man in the shoulder in the 500 block of North Sheridan around 1 a.m. A third man tackled Douglass and restrained him, telling him to drop the knife.
The witness told police the 47-year-old Douglass struggled, and they used force to get him to release the knife. Police took Douglass to the hospital to be checked out before taking him to jail. They recovered the knife at the scene, an arrest report states.
The victim had a small cut to his left shoulder and refused medical treatment, records show.
