Oklahomans Start 70-Mile Walk To Remember Fallen Hero

Some of Oklahoma's own are walking nearly 70 miles to honor a fallen hero.

The seventh annual Jared Shoemaker Memorial Walk began at Tulsa's Chandler Park Monday morning. Shoemaker was a Tulsa police officer and marine killed in Iraq in 2006.

His fellow officers and friends are walking to Stillwater to raise money for Oklahoma Special Olympics, in Shoemaker's honor.

They should get there by Wednesday.
