A suspect is in custody and everyone safe after an overnight standoff in Skiatook. Police are waiting for a search warrant to enter the home near West 143rd Street North and John Zink Avenue.

Skiatook police got a call around midnight that 23-year-old Garrett Barlow was in the home with his grandmother. The grandmother was concerned Barlow had a gun.

She was removed safely from the home, then Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers began negotiating with Barlow. He barricaded himself in the house, according to authorities.

After about five hours, law enforcement negotiators convinced Barlow to come out.

No word yet on what caused Barlow to barricade himself in the home with his grandmother.
