Woman Injured In Fire At Tulsa Motel

Tulsa Fire Department confirms a woman was hurt in a fire at the Airport Inn and Suites.

The fire was paged out shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Interstate 244 and Sheridan. Six rooms were involved and three of them were destroyed.

Stan May, public information officer, said a woman was hurt but he did not have details. Paramedics took the woman to the hospital.

"We don't have a cause yet; investigators have been called to the scene," he said.

The department called out additional firefighters because of high winds, according to May, but they got the fire knocked down in about 15 minutes.

"We turned most of those back before they got here," he said. No firefighters were hurt.
