Tulsa-Based Samson Resources Laying Off Employees

Samson Resources has confirmed it is laying off 50 Tulsa employees.

An official with the oil and gas producer based in Tulsa cited low energy prices as a major factor for the workforce reduction.

Last year, Samson Resources filed for bankruptcy and announced plans to restructure.

Samson was founded by Charles Schusterman in 1971 and is privately held with oil and gas exploration and production operations in Colorado, Louisiana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
