News On 6 has heard from many viewers frustrated with construction on the Broken Arrow Expressway heading into downtown Tulsa.

Some have suggested three alternate routes around that construction, so News On 6 drove all three.

All three routes started at the BA Expressway and Highway 169 interchange and ended at the southwest corner of the IDL near the Denver exit.

The green route heads north to Interstate 244 and then west to the IDL. That route took me 15 minutes, 13 seconds.

The orange route goes west along I-44 over the Arkansas River and then north on Highway 75 to the IDL.  That took me 24 minutes, 42 seconds.

And the red route goes west on the Broken Arrow Expressway through the construction. That route took me 17 minutes, 54 seconds.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says there is really no quicker alternative route into downtown Tulsa, but we found the green route is a few minutes quicker.
