Tulsa police responded to a break-in in the 2000 block of South 75th East Avenue just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

A woman came home to find her back door kicked in, officers say. She believed a burglar was still inside her home, so she backed out of the driveway and called police.

Officers set up a perimeter around the house and waited for a K-9 team to arrive. When the K-9 and partner entered the house, they found the kicked-in back door but no one inside.

Another witness said he thought he saw someone escape over the backyard fence. A burglary detective was investigating to learn what - if anything - the intruders stole.
