Tulsa Shoppers Flood Mall On Last Weekend Before Christmas

It's the weekend local stores have been bracing for -- the last one before Christmas Day.

It's known as Super Saturday because of the huge crowds of last-minute shoppers.

Thousands of people packed inside the mall this weekend. In fact, Woodland Hills Mall says this is most crowded it's been since Black Friday.

It is a relief for many retailers, who were worried most shoppers would go online for gifts.

That's why nearly every store in the mall is offering some kind of sale or deal to get people to come in and spend.

And it seems to be working.

We talked to several shoppers today who say they did some of their shopping online, but when it comes to those last-minute gifts, they prefer to brave the crowds and buy in person.

I've seen since the holiday season started,” shopper Dillon Brown said. “It's been nuts. I've been bumped into a lot."

The mall closes at 10 p.m. on Saturday, and it also has special holiday hours on Sunday and Monday form 9 am to 10 pm.
