Police said one person has been charged with murder in connection to a missing Okmulgee man.
According to a news release, Cory Fish confessed to killing Joshua Pascale during an interview.
The release says, during the investigation, burnt human remains were found on a rural Okfuskee County property owned by Fish’s father.
Investigators said they contacted the FBI who processed the scene and found the body had not been burned at that location.
Monday, investigators issued a search warrant on a piece of property west of Morris owned by Fish’s parents. The release says another burn site was found along with more human remains.
A portion of the remains at the Morris site was identified by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation fingerprint lab as Pascale.
Police said they are still investigating and credit the assistance of the Violent Crimes Task Force of getting this break.
Wednesday, police said they were searching for another person of interest, 35-year-old Deanna Jones. Police said they are still searching for her.
Originally they believed she may be with her husband, 35-year-old Robert Jason Jones, but said he has turned himself in. He was wanted on a probation violation.
