Tired of all the rain? Well, guess what - there's more on the way today. The freezing line is slowly creeping back into central Oklahoma this morning, so precipitation today will stay in the form of cold rain in Green Country.

"Showers will be widespread again this morning with the heaviest rain falling in southeastern Oklahoma. Watch out for flooded low-lying roads or low-lying areas," said WARN Team Meteorologist Stephen Nehrenz.

Showers may actually dwindle in coverage somewhat this afternoon into this evening, but we'll continue with areas of drizzle and light rain after that. Expect another cold, raw day with afternoon temperatures only in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees, with some low-mid 40s east and southeast of Tulsa.

Yet another round of showers will move back across Green Country on Sunday, but in the form of cold rain with temperatures expected to stay above freezing Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The weather will finally start to slowly, but surely, improve next week as the powerful storm system responsible for our excessive rain finally moves east.

If you are planning to fly on Saturday, most flights are making it out of Tulsa International Airport, but it's recommended you check flight status at the TIA website.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says if travel is necessary, drivers are urged to use extra caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and when entering or exiting highways as freezing temperatures may cause slick spots to develop on wet roadways.

Drivers should stay at least 200 ft. behind road-clearing trucks and equipment and not attempt to pass.
