The Tulsa Soccer Club fired a coach who was arrested last week for sending inappropriate messages to a Jenks girl.

Jenks Police booked Blake Lewis, 29, into jail on Friday on complaints of lewd proposal to a minor and soliciting a minor to perform lewd acts. Police said he sent the girl messages via Facebook.

The Tulsa Soccer Club said it fired Lewis on Friday as soon as it heard about his arrest.

They also said, The Oklahoma Soccer Association suspended Lewis' coaching license indefinitely, so he can't coach anywhere in the nation while the case is investigated.

The Tulsa Soccer Club said it was as shocked as anyone else and feels for the girl and her family. It said it doesn't  want the actions of one coach to reflect poorly on all other coaches. They said no one filed a formal complaint on Lewis or brought any evidence to it of him displaying inappropriate behavior.

The Tulsa Soccer Club said it will put its standards and integrity of its coaches up against any sports organization in Oklahoma. It said Lewis passed a background check when he started first became a coach and again in January when he returned to coaching.
