Former Arrow Trucking CEO Doug Pielsticker has appealed the sentence he received earlier this month in federal court. Pielsticker was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison and ordered to pay $21 million in restitution October 9, 2015.
Federal prosecutors say he forged company invoices to get more money from the bank and fund his lavish lifestyle. Pielsticker pleaded guilty to bank fraud and tax fraud as part of a plea agreement.
Pielsticker addressed the court just before he was sentenced. He apologized for his actions, saying he's sorry to his family, the court, and the people of Arrow. He said he's a different person than he was six years ago.

His attorney Paul DeMuro entered the appeal from the judgment and sentence Friday, according to court records. The document does not indicate the basis for appeal.
Arrow Trucking closed suddenly on Christmas Even 2009, stranding drivers across the country. As part the a plea agreement, Pielsticker admitted he had he company spend thousands of dollars on his personal expenses including payments for his wedding and luxury vehicles, then didn't pay income tax on the money.
